just got a under tailgate light that plugs into a flat four pin connecter for a trailer but i can't find a t- connecter for the tail lights i have a 2005 fx4 any ideas anyone i hate to splice if i don't have to

 

It should be hanging right under your bumperaround license plate area.

 

As far as I know, ALL 01+ have a flat 4 trailer harness connector. Just gotta get up under there and find it. It should be connected on the underside of the bumper, just about right behind the driver's frame rail using a "Christmas Tree" fastener.

 

i know mines not that year but mines on the spare carrier with the xmas tree fastener

 

Yours should be in the exact spot as mine...



Those that do the line of fire usually pull the flat-4 off the bumper, connect it to the light's pigtail, then fish it up and hide it behind the bumper using zipties. Gives a clean finished look.
