HELP!!! Locked keys in ranger!
#26
I work for auto medic road side here in Tyler tx but we have offices in almost all 50 states google them in your area well unlock your trucks for $45 and most of the time your insurance will pay for it. I can get in my 2000 ranger in about 30 seconds with the tool that I have and before I started working for them my mom locked her keys I. The truck and I was able to unlock it with a 4ft cb antenna by bending the tip and hooking to door handle of course this only works if you have manual locks if you have power locks just use the same thing but hit the unlock button.

My doors locked with the key in the ignition and the engine running recently. I thought, no problem, I will just use my spare key. Apparently, the remote will not work with the engine running. So, I tied unlocking manually. I still couldn't get in. The hood was up, so I disconnected the battery to shut down the engine. I still could not get in.
I didn't know about the antennae trick. I kept trying both door manually without success. Eventually I thought about spraying some silicone lube in the door lock and that did the trick. Apparently, since I never use the manual locks they just froze up over time.
