Anyone thought about putting a wakeboard boat bladder in the bed? Those suretrax things cost WAY too much.

And why not build boxed sections that fit over the wheel wells?

The back panel pushing against the wheel well keeps it from sliding forward, the front panel pushing against the wheel well keeps it from sliding backwards, and a 2x6 wedged tightly in the middle will push both "boxes" against the outside of the bed, so it won't move side to side.

well if you want to help with funding then i will..

but yeah i had a thing like them 2x4's in that pic but idk where it went.
i guess ill have to build a new one.

bfgs of not, those l/s help a lot
a friend of mine at my church has one in the back of his dakota sport. manual with the l/s and he has never had a problem with normal road tires
