Does this modular need to be mounted to metal for a ground on the back plate? I just bought a 1990 4x4, 4.0l , and the modular is just bouncing around near the battery. On the back there is a tit that I was wondering if it was some sort of electrical ground. Thanks,
Tim

It is a heat sink so yes it should be mounted to a metal plate like the rad support.

One of the bolts may also be used as a Ground with a short wire from the #9 pin, it varied as to where they were Grounded
