Inertia switch/full pump shut off

Ok so my 05 v6 4.0L ranger shut off on me for the 2nd time now as I was driving down the highway. The first time my battery was dead and after I replaced it (battery) and hit the interia switch under the passenger side dash, it fired right up. It's about a month since then and my ranger died on the may to work today. I pulled to the side of the highway, hit the interia switch and it fired right up and I drove to work.

Here's my question. I'm going to replace the inertia switch, but I'm not sure what the "exact name" is. I've been buying parts from Rock Auto.com and they always get me the parts pretty quickly and for a decent price. I'm looking on the site and there are 3 different parts and I'm not sure which one I need exactly.

1 Fule Pump Connector 2 Inertia Switch Connector
3 Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch Connector

I assume its the Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch Connector but the picture they show doesn't look like the "button" under the dash. Any info on which part I need to purchase and any info about installing would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don't know on that one, I tried to find it on Rockauto site with no luck, and a search on O'reilly's site yielded the connector rather than the switch itself. I don't hear of many failures, you could probably get one at a salvage yard for just a few bucks and have it last for as long as you own the truck.

If you have an O'reillys nearby they can get it for you or your local full-service autoparts place. I know they cost about 30-35 dollars so at least it is not too expensive.

I don't think rockauto has the switch, what you found are the replacement connector to connect to the switch.

Ford part is under 30 bucks from here
