Intermittent Blinkers and Brake Lights, Intermittent Fail to Start

Hey guys!

Just picked up this 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0l 4x4 Super Cab
Love it so far - my first truck!

About two weeks ago my left rear blinker went out. NBD replace the bulb. Still no blinker! It was an old bulb. Try a BRAND NEW bulb and a new flasher too. Still nothing.

Then my right rear blinker and brake lights stop working also. Cab brake light still good.

I tried replacing the multi-function with a new one also just because they're cheap and easy to return for me. Wasn't that either.

Sometimes the blinkers they work for just a few clicks when I first start my car. Or randomly otherwise but they 95% don't work.

About when this started my car also randomly fails to start. I'd drive it to the grocery. Starts up fine. Do my shopping. Go to start and ZERO lights or clicks or any power at all.

Usually I can get it going just by taking the neg battery cable off and then put it back on and it starts up no problem again.

Any ideas? Bad ground?

Where should I check? I'm kinda of a newb. Just bought a multimeter for this problem but I don't know how to use it yet I'm trying to teach myself this week.
