Last week I drove my 08 Ranger the key was not turning in the cylinder. Some jiggling finally got it to turn and start. Since then it is always the same but will eventually turn.It is the same with all 3 keys. What I noticed was that I no longer have to use the key release to take the key out. It just slides out. I feel like that is the culprit somehow. Has anyone had this issue and it is it something I can repair easily?

You need to change or at least pull out the key cylinder, to see if its broken inside

You can get a new cylinder and have a locksmith re-pin it to match your current keys, so no new keys needed, so no PATS issue, and still matches door locks
