What does 42 mean ?
I do not think an LED Bulb in an Incandesant Housing, will work as well as the original Bulb.
Just my opinion... Buy a nice set of LED or Xenon Projector Fogs.
Shops like The Retrofit Source or Light Werkz, have Fog Projectors.
After I do the Projector Headlights I want to look into Fogs.

I did write incandescent but I didn't give it a thought, could be Halogen, mine on my 2003 EDGE wasn't.
Get a replacement LED Bulb and see what it looks like, might work for you but my question is... will the reflector and LED Bulb perform as well as a brighter, higher wattage Halogen. (May need some new wiring) !
To answer this... I am not sure what type of bulbs you have, sorry... but if you have OEM Halogen, mine on my 2003 EDGE wasn't, then you should be all set for what ever type of bulb, the question is what wattage, how many amps will be drawn on the wire.
I would consider a new home brew harness to power the new fogs, maybe using the old wiring to active a relay and new power wire and ground.

Halogens have been on cars for may many years....I have installed LED Fog lights and Headlights on my Toyota Highlander and they are much brighter than Halogen is and are cooler, uses much less juice...So if halogens are in the car, the wiring is ok for LEDs..No relay needed...only HIDs need that

The only bulbs that should be old fashion incandescent are the tail, turn, and running. The headlights and fog lights are halogen. Like you said no need to re-wire. Just search Amazon for direct replacement leds for the H10's. The factory fog light housings on my 09 work great with my LED bulbs. I did use projector beam LED bulbs though.

OK so I musth be wrong on the bulb, funny always thought they were high wattage incandescent bulb... be it as it may the question is will Led Bulbs work in a Reflector not designed for them and or will the wiring for the Halogen Fog Light work for the LED Bulbs/Housings.
If I were to buy today, and after watching way too many U-Tube Videos, I would buy new LED Projector Fog Lights.
I come away from all of the Videos with the idea that when an LED Fog Light is designed from scratch and with enough Lumens and high enough temperature, it will out perform a Bulb type replacement setup in a housing that was designed for another type of bulb.
If money permits, I would look the LED Fog lights a The Retrofit Source or even Lightwerkz, !
Sorry for any confusion I learned something today too !
