LED headlights for 2009 Ranger
LED headlights for 2009 Ranger
Twice I've ordered LED "bulb" inserts for my 2009 2.3 Ranger. Each time the vendor listed as fitting 2009 Ranger. Each time the LED assembly rear portion is too wide for the standard clip to fit over it and each time the power wire comes out sideways at the rearmost of the rear portion. Hard for me to describe, but I hope you get the idea. Front part of the LED goes in fine. Three little tabs fit fine when the LED is rotated to the right position. LED just can't be held in with the standard "clip" ring.
Has anyone found an LED conversion "bulb" which can be held in with the standard clip ring? A big plus would be power cord in the center if the rear end of the LED insert. I might be able to file down the plastic clip ring interior hole to fit over a slightly wider than standard rear.
I'd rather try to fit the standard headlight assemblies, left and right, because I just bought a pair from RockAuto. Bambi had mashed my original left side and I've already butchered the clip/ring area in both the left and right original headlight assemblies trying to get the LEDs firmly held in. High tech. Zip ties.
Thank you for any advice.

I looked at the Nineo LEDs
I looked at the Nineo LEDs but almost all appear to be for fog lights. Found one which mentioned bright/dim and sounded light headlights but also mentioned "fan cooled". Can you be more specific in your recommendation and consider the fit and clip/ring problems I described?
Thank you!
Thank you!
