lift and lever
ok all, have a 95/96 3.0 manual transfer case ranger. got the rear lifted getting ready to do the cab lift. my transfer case shifter is really short. how do i raise it the 3 inches? the lift kit didnt supply that part, so when i do the lift it will barly stick through the floor!

You can get extensions that thread on or clamp on to existing shift arm.
But one problem with body lift is that the throw distance will change, meaning if you moved the shifter in the cab 1" to get from 2WD to 4Hi you will now need to move it 2" or so
This may require longer hole in floor to get from 2WD to 4Low

well just got the cab lifted ron, and as feared the shift **** is about 1 inch off the floor! im not worried about the trans tunnel hole, i have the ability to modify that if/as needed. what i don't want to do is red neck this thing. i could go to lowes/ home depot get a coupler and some all thread and make my own but it wouldn't look right/ factory. i assume that maybe it is mounted on brackets and i could get those extended 3 inches?

Some pictures here for extending linkage under the cab so using stock lever in the cab
