Lower Intake Gasket

Hey guys so I had a few spots of oil underneath my truck and I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from so I took it into ford. Ford said it was the Lower Intake Gasket and wants $774 to replace it. How hard is it to do myself? I just can’t see paying that much

What year and what engine?

Reads as a little high for most of the engines used between 1983 and 2011

It just wrench work, and time consuming if its the first time

There is a how-to here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/2-9l-3...-gasket-86269/

Have a read thru it and see if its something you want to do
Take lots of pictures, they are free, of where wires and vacuum hose connect
