Lubrication of column shifter

My gear range selector lever in on the column. It's stiff as molasses in January.
Are there points where it can be lubed?
When I replaced the transmission's pan I lubed the pivoting hardware on the unit's left side to no effect.

I'm guessing there are nylon bushings which keep rods aligned within the column and/or pivot points.
I'd like to know where to apply lube rather than experiment by spraying excessive amounts.

You can unhook the cable at the transmission to see if the binding in is the column

Yes, there are two bushings

Google: ford ranger shift tube replacement instructions

Most Ford trucks are the same by year for this repair

As usual, thanks for the reply.
I'll go out and fiddle next with the twuck tomorrow as we're going to our very first West Point football game.

I've been to the campus twice in my life but never to the stadium. Everyone says it's a "must do" (like seeing the Packers in Green Bay), so we're doing it.
And me, I'm not even a football fan.

So Ron, is anything in the column lube-able? ........any collar or crack which'd accept lube effectively?
