Hey Rick,

Your profile says that's a FAL E-fan? Where did you end up getting it at? The one I saw did not have a thermostat controller...

Thanks
Actually I'm going in the other direction, my 06 grille from Jusnes should be here Friday if UPS doesn't screw up again.

No update on mileage yet but it feels & goes up hills like it did before the tire/wheel change. Theres a certain hill I climb @ 75MPH everyday going to work. Before the tires/wheels it would climb it with no down shifting but would downshift 1 gear after. Now it goes up it again with no downshifting. Also seems 0-80 MPH up an on ramp I always go up is about as fast as it was before the tire/wheel change. Runs pretty darn good but mileage this tank will SUCK big time. Once I lose some weight on my heavy foot it should come up but I'm having to much fun right now.

What seems odd to me is when the thermostat opens, it starts opening @ 165?? Not sure when its fully open though. I always thought they had a 190-195 deg. thermostat. Monday I 1st set the fan by eyeing the temp. gauge in the gauge cluster...I know they aren't accurate but I needed a starting point. Once I did that I used the gun & found the fan coming on @ 205 deg. & going off @ 190 deg. & confirmed that today so I left it right there.
If anyone can confirm what theirs runs @ with the stock fan I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
Rick

mine turns on at 210 ish and turns off at 190 using the temp gun. i have gone on trips and when completly warm it runs at 180* coming out of the radiator.

i wish i would have installed my water temp gauge beforei installed the efan so i would have a better idea of where it operates when stock.

Hopefully I can get some voltage readings for you today. I'm redoing the stang Hood scoop right now. I put on much thinner 2 way tape & bolting it down this time so it sits flush on the hood. Looked bad before because the 2 way tape was so thick & you could see it from the sides. When I install the SC I'll make it functional. If UPS doesn't screw up which they ALWAYS do I'll also have my 06 grille installed today.

Man I love that front end with the hood scoop and grill. Orginally I wanted my truck to have the black grill with headlights, now I want the 06 with the headlights, as my trucks the same color too!
