Mustang Dome Install help

Ok I've followed everything within this thread:

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ead.php?t=8212

I'm installing a 90-93 mustang black dome with map lights. It looks just like the explorer dome lights available in the classifieds. My problem is that I have no map lights. The center light works, but no maps. There seems to be a loose connection too as the center light wasn't coming on until I went to remove the cover to triple check everything a billionth time. I'm wondering if this is because the screw that's connected to the wire I ran doesn't line up to any pre-existing holes. The hole layout is exactly the same as the type of dome light used within the how-to though?

Any help/ideas?

Well, I blew fuse #13....off to get fuses and bulbs (can't tell if one of the bulbs in burnt out).

Another question, I have 18 gauge wire that I used as my power wire. Should I maybe have used 16?

Screw it, I'm picking up 16 and 14 gauge while I'm at the Anti-Christ getting fuses and bulbs.

You have to run a wire from like this.

2004-on Ranger: Lt. Green/Orange at dimmer module and then use a ring terminal at the one of the domelight screws that is not going to the ground side nor the black terminal one screw goes into.

I'm a dork....

I thought my map bulbs were good (there was no blown filament floating about in the bulb). Everything was wired up correctly. I ran up to wal-mart (anti-christ from ealier) to grab fuses since I blew #13 (15a). I figured I'd take the map light bulbs with. They were toast compared to new. Got home, hooked everything back up like I had it first time and viola, it works!

1 mod down, one OHC to go.

Anyone have a spare 97 or compatible OHC harness lying around?
