Icon5 Need to know where to start...?

Hey guys, first time adding to the forum, been lurking since I joined. I just got ahold of a 03 Ranger xlt 2wd. It's in really good shape. Just getting ready to hit 48,000 miles.

When I got in to drive home, I turned on the left blinker, and nothing happened. I have no dash indicator light, either left or right side. I have break lights. Head lights. My Wife said when I turned on the blinker, only one of my break lights would light.

First I will check fuse after work. But need to know if their is any common spots I should look for problems?

Any help would really be appreciated!

Troy-

Turns out it was a grounding issue. The system ground out right beside the battery. I cleaned up the ends real good with some sandpaper, slapped it back together and it worked like new. Yeah, no money spent. Also found out the emergency flasher, and the blinker flasher are one in the same.
