No crank no start 1999 Ranger 4x4
No crank no start 1999 Ranger 4x4
During a transmission swap I’ve lost crank and start.
There is a voltage drain from fuse 15 (air bag indicator lamp, alternator indicator lamp) and fuse 25 (generic electronic module, instrument cluster).
Full disclosure, the starter was swapped and switched around as I had broke the housing prior to transmission change. And put bulbs in the instrument cluster. As many of them were blown.
*also, I’ve been starting with the ignition switch out of the steering column. I believed the push rod in the column was broke. I tend not to believe that as of now. Yet no crank no start still either way.
There has been a couple times she wanted to crank of the many configurations I’ve tried.
relays appear good.
The voltage draws on maxi fuse 5 under hood and the draw on fuse 15 & 25 I believe are significant.
I’ve reviewed the schematics. Just stuck as to proper troubleshooting procedures. Any help is welcome.
