OBD reader not working

I have an Autel AL319 OBD2 code reader that works on my wife's Corolla but not on my 07 Ranger. Just won't light up. Borrowed a friend's wireless bluetooth OBD reader and plugged it in, it gets power but nothing else and won't broadcast a signal. Anyone have any similar problems or any ideas?

It's an 07 and my first reader is a CAN reader but it won't turn on. Other one doesn't work either but it has power at least, according to it's display.

Figured it out today, the 20A fuse for it was blown. Don't know why it was still receiving enough power so that the reader's light was on, but that seems to be the issue.

Yes, that is odd, usually any reader would be dead, they don't have a battery as far as the ones I have used
