P0117 - Replaced sensor still having issues

On a cold start, the truck fires right up.. when warm i have alot of issues getting it started.. it will turn over for quite a while before it will fire back up, then run fine until i turn it off and try to start it again, only have one CEL - P0117 - Coolant temp sensor, replaced that, the code still comes up - same issues nothing has changed.. any ideas? where is the pcm located? going to check that out next. Thanks

Usually there are two coolant temp sensors , one for the guage and another for the PCM . Are you sure you changed the correct one ?
And you need to post more info on the truck , year , engine , and such.

hey guys maybe i did change the wrong sensor? when i went into the auto parts store i told them i wanted a coolant temp sensor and they gave me one that fit the brown connector to the left of the picture. was i supposed to get the sensor with the grey connector that fits into that metal/rusted line to the right of the picture, next to the t-stat?
This is what i purchased.. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web..._673900805___#
