P1405 code

Check engine light came on yesterday. Read code as P1405. Found DPFE and a hose was hanging. Went to reattach and it crumbled. Got new hose today and installed. Haven’t driven but started. Light still on. Do I need to drive few miles or do I need to reset code?

Yes, engine needs to get up to operating temp 1 or 2 times, and it should reset itself

Did you check/replace the other hose?

I did check other hose. It was still nice and rubbery. Was the bigger of the two that was broken.
I always do a search before asking questions. And I’ve noticed you share a ton of knowledge here. I want to thank you for that. You have made this little fun project of mine manageable.

Drove around town yesterday for a while. Check engine stayed on. Ciphered on it some today. Thought that the hose slid on easier than came off. Maybe inside diameter little bigger than factory. So got out a couple zip ties and snugged them down. Drove around block and as I pulled in driveway it cut of.
