Hello, first post here. I have a 2001 4x4 XLT ranger and the passenger window won't roll down intermittently.

When i first got the truck it rolled down about 80% of the time. Now that number is down to probably 10% of the time. When this happens, neither the master switch or passenger switch operates it. However, It always rolls back up from either switch. As in, even if it won't go down I can hear the motor trying to push it back up if I press up.

I have check all the fuses and replaced the master switch, it didnt help. No other functions of the truck are affected as far as i can tell. I have not checked the rubber boot as I'm nervous on removing the rubber and damaging it, but I will if it's the likely culprit. Any ideas would help greatly. Thanks.
