I have a aftermarket power door/lock kit installed on my Ranger and I was wondering if it possible to buy a universal remote that will control the power locks that I installed on it, I don't like the remotes that came with the one that I bought. Would I have to swap the module as well?

To my knowledge, unless the control unit is picky about the remote, you should just be able to reprogram it to the new remote. Much like garage door openers. I think I mine I have to hold a button down then push the button on the remote.
