Radio interference

When I apply my brakes . It creates a static sound from my radio. Has anyone else experienced that ? How can I fix this?

What year Ranger?

I will look up wiring diagram and see if there is any connection between the two circuits

There shouldn't be, brake lights have power all the time, Radio is on a Key on circuit

They both use the same Ground, like all electrics in the truck

You could pull the brake light fuse and see if you still get same static, then it would be from a wire under the dash that is moving when you press the pedal down

Thanks for replying to one of many issues that I am trying to resolve while my pick up is down.
I have a friend who buys vehicles that are seized by the Boarder Patrol. He can't resale the vehicle but he can sell motors and transmissions. Is there a letter or number in the vin.# that would tell me if that motor is the same as the one in my ranger.
