No power to radio but fuses good

I have a six-button AM/FM/CD radio in my 2002 Ford Ranger. The fuses are good but there's no power to the radio. Can anyhow tell me the pin-outs on the back of the radio so I can check to see if it's getting power. Or any other help besides getting a new radio.

2002 wiring here, but for basic radio: https://therangerstation.com/tech_li...dio_Wiring.pdf

This is a 2003 premium: https://therangerstation.com/tech_li...dio_Wiring.pdf

And just a heads up, Fuse 28, "Hot in START", MUTES the radio on start up, so its not a power wire per say, it only has 12v when key is turned to START

"Hot at all times" is for the clock and pre-sets

Fuse 20 is the power wire for the radio

Thanks for the reply and the schematics. Since I don't have a subwoofer I'm going with the basic radio wiring. Fuses 20 and 28 are good. I noticed a fuse 29 in the schematic that is hot all the time. I didn't know about that one. I'll check it.

The schematics identify wiring by the pin number for the radio plug, but the pins aren't identified in the plug. How do I know a pin's position in the plug?

Thanks again,

Jon

Radio is dead

Thanks for the info. Tested the radio. It's dead. Looking for a replacement.

Found a replacement on craigslist for $25. Installed and it works. I can listen to country music again.

Good work

Thanks for the follow up and the FIX

Now you can write your own Country Music song about a "busted pickup truck", not many of those around, work in a girl and a dog and you'll have a #1 hit, lol

Welcome to the forum

You should always start your own thread if you are not adding to existing threads topic
At the top left of any sub-forum is "+New Thread" <<< click on it

To help go here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...diagrams.shtml

Go down to 1 of the 3 possible audio system for a 2006 Ranger, find the one you had, use wire colors or ??, but you need to know what you started with
Then you will need a volt meter to test 12volt and ground wires, you probably just knocked one loose

Also when you repost include the Model of the new radio, some have features that can disable radio if it is stolen............like when you unplugged it to add cables, so like when a thief removes it, lol
