Removing intake box?

I ordered a Volant intake for my 99 ranger 4.0L ohv. I've taken the entire thing apart just to see how it all comes out, but what I couldn't remove was the stock filter box.

How does this come out? It looks like there are two grommets on the bottom and two on the side but the little air intake thing (where the air comes in through the front grill) is going through it.

What's the easiest way to get it out?

Spray WD40 or equivilent on the two bottom grommets. Pull up then away from the fender.

spray wd-40 in the bottom grommets, give it a minute, then give it a good pull. might take a few tries...
