Reverse lights coming on while in forward gears

Hi everybody,

While driving down to TxState yesterday my dad, who was following me, noticed that my reverse (white) lights were coming on while i was driving. He called me on the cell to tell me and they appear to go on when i go into 4th gear or downshift from 5th to 4th, and possibly 2nd gear. They turn off if i shift around a little but i need to fix the problem.

I assume there is some sort of mechanism in the shifter turret but i do not know for sure. Anybody know how to fix it?

Here ya go. The switch connector is probably corroded, or the mechanism that activates it needs lubricating.
