Reverse lights, searched, but no answer...

So, like a lot of peeps here, i wanna hook up my old fog lights to the rear of my truck. I'd rahter not splice into my taillights, and because I have no tow hitch, i would like to use the tow-light-wires to accomplish this.

So, what wire(on the tow wire group) do i need to take power from? Will this work?

Thanks.
Dane

EDIT: I want it just to work when i put my truck into reverse. (I've got a stick) and ive seen the other threads on that, but i would rather wire into the trailer light package, rahter than my own taillights.

There is no reverse light wire in the trailer tow connector.

Crap. Well, looks like I'll have to run it through the stock ones, or create a new circuit. (I think they are 55W)

Install a 12v relay behind one of the tail lights. Tap (Scotchlok) the power feed to the backup lightbulb. Run the tap to relay terminal 85. Run ground to terminal 86. Run a 30-40 amp fused 12ga or better power feed to relay terminal 30 from front of veh. Connect power feed for Aux lights to terminal 87.

55 Watt lights will be too much for existing circuit. You will need to run power from the front and use a relay to turn them on.
