Evening folks. Running a new battery negative line to the engine block, can't find one of those ring terminals that wrap around the cable and bolt to the frame. Do you think there would be any problems if i just cap the lead from the battery and another from the engine block and just bolt it there with two normal ring terminals?
I was going to build the entire cable form zero gauge wire, not sure entirely sure if grounding them both to the frame with common ring terminals would negate any benefit from that.
Yea, i was going to do that, and then run another to the battery rather than copy the ford wiring. I have eyelets, i just can't find the side mounted one that wraps around the side that normally bolts to the frame.
This side eyelet is what i was talking about. It holds one of the random ground wires for something else in it, i think this one specifically plugged into the wiring harness from behind the airbox.
I have not been able to find one. If i had thick enough gauge copper sheet I could just make one, however i do not have a crimper that can crimp this acceptably, and nether did the local parts store. I think i'll just daisy chain a bunch of normal eyelets around. This would probably make things easier to replace if one gets damaged or corroded again anyway.
As far as I know those cables came that way, they were made for Ford, and Ford did sell replacements, but probably long gone, out of stock
Just use 3 cables with eyelets and a longer bolt to make the same connection, they way Ford did it was just cheaper......for them, when making thousands of them
