Silver Star headlamps

I installed Silverstars in my Ranger and my wife's Tacoma .
The lamps in the Ranger get about a two year lifespan , whereas the Tacoma only gets , within a couple weeks , one year.
I haven't measured the operating voltage on either vehicle yet , but I'm wondering if it may be a voltage issue or a vibration issue.
The Ranger is smoother riding , while the Toyota has a tendency to 'bounce'
Anyone feel this could be a factor ?

I think it could be because she is driving a Taco maybe Toyota screwed up there too...

Have you checked to ensure no moisture has made its way into the housing?

Voltage very well could be different but I would think that there is a industry standard as far as voltage to headlights goes.

Might be a vibration issue I know filament bulbs can have shorter life if shaken alot while on.

No moisture , but as I said it could be the voltage is higher than the Ranger.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced shortened bulb life.

I have had my silver stars for upwards of 5 years and they still work great in the headlights, the fog light bulbs on the other hand have been a pain in the *** and go out every 6months to a year.

Same here. I've had my headlight Silverstars for over 6 years now with no issues. The fogs though are a different story. I need to seal the 9005's better.

My silverstar heads are going on 1.5 years now, just lost 1 foglight bulb the other day but the fog light was full of water so that might be why.
