Some eltetrical control issues

Hey all, I've been having some electrical control issues with my truck for a while now. I have an 01 XLT and for the last 9 months or so whenever I try to use my driver-side power window I hear what almost sounds like a large solenoid clicking inside the door. The driver-side window will not work. I attempted to change the switch(had an extra on hand) and it didn't work so I put the old one back in. This switch swap happened just today and after putting the old one back in and the panel I was fiddling with the door handle because I thought I could hear it dragging on something(think Its normal because it feels normal) and while I was fiddling with the handle the driver side power window just magically started to work again, but when I press down the window goes all the way down and from there I have to raise it to the desired height(not sure if that is even normal as that window has never functioned normally). So while the window is working now I don't have the slightest clue why it wasn't working and I'm concerned that if it lowers all the way one of these times it ain't gonna go back up. Along with that driver-side window not working neither does my mirror adjuster(worked months ago but stopped God knows when), and my door lock on the passenger side. I only mention these other issues because possibly they are interconnected; however, they may be completely separate issues I'm not sure about. I'm mainly concerned about the driver-side window control, and I'm thinking it was hung up or something and that clicking I heard was maybe the motor trying to get enough *** to lower the window. I tried to find someone with similar issues but whenever I look this problem up it's people saying their windows go down but not up which was a problem I have never had. I appreciate any of the help I can get.

The noise you heard was the thermal limiter switch inside the power window motor, that's how the motor "knows" when to stop turning when window is up or down all the way, even if you are still holding the button down
The motor uses says 4 amps to move the windows weight, if amps go to 5, because window stopped moving at top or bottom, the thermal switch shuts off the power

Your regulator, the scissor bars, in the door are most likely bad, and last time window was rolled up it was "jammed" in place, so when you tried to roll it down the motor drew too many amps so thermal switch cut power
OR, thermal switch is too sensitive now and cutting power when it shouldn't
So I would look at replacing regulator and motor, not too expensive from wrecking yards

Your year does have Auto Down and maybe Auto up as well, called "One Touch", so its normal to press down button and then release it and have the window roll down all the way, you should be able to stop at any point by pressing Up button
Up may be the same, but there were Safety regulation that may not allow that, i.e. roll up the window with your arm in the way, lol, Auto Down doesn't have that issue

Fuse 1 in cab fuse box is for the power mirrors

Door locks are a separate system from windows or mirrors, if one power door lock doesn't work then its most likely the door lock "motor" in that door is bad
