Strange noise coming from rear tire when turning!?

I have a 96 Ranger 4.0 4x2 and recently this morning after getting off the highway I began hearing a rumbling/grinding sort of sound when turning to the right. Possibly a rear wheel bearing or something else!?

could be as simple as a rock stuck. But I'd figure out which wheel. Take that tire off and inspect. Could be brakes, wheel bearings

Im thinking it could be the axle bearing! I'm gonna tear it apart and check it out in a few! Thanks for the reply!

With the weigh of the truck off of the wheels, see if the tire has play up and down, even just a little. I'm thinking axle bearings. You could have something stuck in your brakes or you could be low on diff fluid. Could be spider gears in your diff going bad as well (LS rear end?).

As said above, open the fill plug and if you have a test strip. slide it in to get a good idea how full you are.

I had my left rear wheel bearing go out and it had some seriously loud noise (followed by the left rear drum falling apart inside )
