Tan w/yellow stripe. It runs from the PCM in the passenger side firewall through the engine harness to the firewall bulkhead connector where it enters the interior in the large wire bundle down by the parking brake pedal. From there it goes up to one of the plugs on the back of the cluster.

Here is the 96 version of a list that I did for someone on another forum yesterday. The colors at the beginning of each line are those used by AutoMeter. If using a different tachometer brand, adjust accordingly:
What I would do:
NOTE: red/yellow means red body with yellow stripe, NOT yellow with red stripe.

- Red - (hot in start/run) - Splice to red/yellow wire at any 1 of the 3 cluster connectors (supplied through fuse 11 of dash fuse box)
- Green - (tach signal) - Splice to tan/yellow (runs from pin 48 of the PCM through the firewall near the P-brake pedal and then to one of the cluster connectors)
- Black - ground
