Temperature/oil guague pegged out HELP

My 94 ranger v6 started to run all the way to high on the oil and temperature guages. The battery went bad ( i know now it was drained by what ever problem i have)
I replaced the battery, the guages then worked, for 1 day, then the same problem, both peged out on high. I replaced both temp and oil sending units, did not fix,
I have looked for bad wire cant find any, replaced the instrument cluster, still not fixed, I am at a loss of what to do. Has any one had this problem and if
so how can i fix it. Thank anyone for response.

Do they max immediately when ignition on? Or take time to rise to max?

And do they behave the same way if they're disconnected?

The oil goes up , the temperature takes time. I replaced ignition switch yesterday, didn’t help.

Disconnect and they go all the way down to zero.
