Thinking about changing O2 sensors. Which ones to get
Hello All
2005 duratec 110k
Thinking of replacing the O2 sensors just because they are old.
Motorcraft vs Denso vs NGK
Common logic is go with the Motorcraft but the aftermarket are about half the price on Rock Auto.
The truck drives fine but I like to go over the top with maintenance.
Thanks,
BOB

Bosch is usually the original manufacturer of Ford factory installed 4Wire OxygenSensors.
Bosch price is usually competitive or less than Denso, NGK,...
At least for 4Wire Sensors, they're all the same except for cable length;
you can buy a Bosch sensor with a longer cable than the factory sensor & it works as well;
just have to CableTie up the extra length neatly, especially away from any hot surface.

Just to follow up,
I replaced them with Motorcraft from Rock Auto and all seems well after.
Ever since I changed my plugs to Motorcraft and how much better the truck runs with those instead of Bosch iridium I am going to go the Motorcraft route unless it is just too much money.
All the professionals I have talked with say OEM for parts like these.
Thanks all, If I was on a tighter budget I would probably go Denso or NTK.

Gas prices are not likely to drop, just slowly go up, lol
If you can squeeze 1 extra MPG with a good tune up that's 17 extra miles from a 17 gallon tank, almost one extra gallon, saving you $3
It adds up over a year of "fill ups", if you get gas every 2 weeks that's 26 times in a year and saving $3 each time = $78
So if the difference between OK parts and GOOD parts is less than that you are putting money in your pocket once the difference is paid off
