Took out ABS
Hello! I just took out my ABS from the fuse box in hopes to shut down the stablitrak, so I can put a suspension lift on my truck. will taking out the ABS fuse allow to me to suspension lift my truck now??
ABS isn't the issue with lifts, its the RSC system, roll control, if you have this then there will be a switch to turn it off, it resets and comes back on each time your start the vehicle
What year Ranger do you have?
A "yaw rate sensor" detects how much the truck is leaning/rolling to one side, when you lift up the body the yaw sensor is lifted as well, so the parameters have changed, movement of the body at 2ft above the ground is less than at 3ft above the ground, so yaw sensor needs to be re-calibrated for extra height or lowered to its "normal", from the factory, height.
ABS just monitors wheel rotations and if one wheel slows faster than the others then ABS lessen brake pressure to that wheel to prevent lock up
ABS, TCS and RSC are all interconnected if you have all 3

You can keep ABS and traction control with suspension lift
You just need to extend the wires as needed
Roll control is another matter, and you deal with that as, and if, needed
Coil Over with lift gets rid of the low hanging torsion bars, but a more expensive option and not bolt on, welding is needed
