Trailer Lights

I have been having trouble with my turck and hooking up a trailer.

All my truck lights work just fine. Once I hook up my trailer Everything goes hay wire. Last night I lost my taillights on my truck al my interior lights.

I poped a fuse replaced it.

I still have no trailer lights only light that works is the passenger brake and tun signal.

Check the ground on the trailer, very typical thing is a bad ground. Also check where the trailer wiring harness attaches to the truck. Often corroded or bad connections are prime for shorts. If it came factory, chances are the trailer wiring harness runs into the "black square harness" located under the truck right under the drivers seat location. I've heard of guys having some nasty corrosion in there too.
