Transfer Case Fluid Guidance
Hello all,
I am changing my transmission fluid in my 04 Ranger this weekend and, while I'm down there, I figured I may as well do the transfer case as well. The issue is I am not sure what fluid to use for the Transfer Case. The ford owners manual says to use Mercon, however our new AI overlords say that XL-12 or Mercon LV is the correct one (it changes everytime I ask). What fluid is the actual correct one to use in the transfer case?
Vehicle Specs: 2004 4x4 4.0L V6 SOHC.
