Triple battery

I am planning on putting three batteries in my truck one for all the stock stuff and the other two for audio, 8 kc lights, 2000 watt power inverter, and winch. Does anyone know where I can get a battery box for two battery that is water proof or should I just try to find someone to make me one and sould it be lined with something. Also I have been looking for a high output alternator and can't seem to find one so if any one knows of a place to find one could you let me know. Thanks

uh....3 batterys? wow.

1 or two deepcycles should be more than plenty then like a 200amp alternater. Jusnes modified, an R-F vendor, has high output alternaters. I'd prefer mounting the batterys in the bed, like under a toolbox, or even in the tool box. Put it in a sealed box and route your cables on the passengerside frame rail up to the engine compartment.

Please....create a sig so we know what year motor model etc your truck is.

I'm going with three so when I leave the radio on with out the truck running the one battery won't die in ten min. And they are all going to be yellow tops.

3 batteries is over kill.....if you run 2 yellow tops with a battery isolator so you will have something to start the truck with you will be fine....

if 1 battery will run dead after 10 minutes of stereo play, 2 will be 20 minutes.....so whats the point.......might as well fill your bed full of batteries......you have to have 1 battery for starting.....

even if you run 3 batteries, you NEED to come up with something that allows them to still be 12v and have all 3 being charged w/ 1 being isolated for starting.....you dont want all 3 to be dead...

i dont think you can get enough stereo equipment in a Ranger to run a yellow top down in 10 minutes..

Three yellow tops? Are you trying to supplement power to your whole neighborhood during a blackout?

I assume by your desire for so much battery capacity that you intend on leaving these accessories on without the engine running frequently?
