Truck Veers Left When Driving; Right When Braking

So I have a funky issue here.

I recently replaced my brake pads and drove my ranger to test them out. The driver side pads were way more worn than the passenger, so I am assuming that is a stuck caliper in need of replacement.
The weird thing is, I noticed that my ranger now pulls to the left a bit when driving normally - there is also that horrible smell indicating that the pads are rubbing, so again a caliper issue. However, when I do apply the brakes, instead of veering off to the left, the truck makes a massive pull to the right.

Is this still a thing caused by the driver side caliper just not working? Or am I missing something?

Any more info can be provided if need be, thank you very much for your time.

Yes, driver side caliper is bad, and that would cause both issue, its braking when it shouldn't and not braking when it should, lol

And the overheated pads and rotor on drivers side don't brake well which adds to it

Could be driver side flex hose at that caliper as well, but a true long shot, since that shouldn't cause brake steer, pull to the right, just slow release of caliper
I would replace caliper for sure, and flex line if funds permit
