I have an 88 ford ranger 2.9 v6. Change spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor now my car wont start. Anything i can be missing. Truck ran before i did this, now i am stuck. And if anyone has this same motor, will you please check the firing order for me. Thanks

Did you take the wires off one at a time and replace them, or did you just take them all off?
I had this issue on a 69 351, The firing order I had in my motors manual was wrong, and all the firing orders I found online were identical to my manual, however I called my dad up, he brought his motors manual over, we looked through it, and it had a different order than mine listed. We tried that one and it fired right up.

Just to make sure, This is the one I found online. Also did you gap your plugs before you installed them?

Also just because a firing order is listed, Ford has been known in the past to change the order mid-year. This is comming from a Ford mechanic who has worked at ford dealers for over 23 years.
