unknown Dinging , from under dash

Well this week I started painting my interior , I took out the airbag , gauge cluster and headlight switch , and radio bezel .

Now everything is back together , when I start my truck and shift into drive ,
I get a chime from under dash - Its five slow tones , then repeats 4 times then quits , its coming from a black box behind radio bezel infact theres two back there , its the one on drivers side .

Before I took everything out my airbag flashed a 2-7 code bad light
Now its flashing a differant code any ideas?

If you need anymore info let me know

Try doing a search refined to username "rwenzing" and using the keyword "airbag". That'll get you somee relevant and informative threads.

The 27 and the 25 airbag codes are related to the Passenger Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) Switch. Most often, the problem is the lamp.

I had the same code a few months back on my 2000 and had just replaced the switch. I know that the light on mine worked so i think mine was just a bad swich.

Well I temp fixed it , A couple weeks ago I took the switch off when I built my center console . So this after noon I rehooked it back up , and the 2-5 code dissapeared I reset the truck and my 2-7 code came back (no biggie I can get a new bulb and soldier back on). I think the reason it all started was when I took my gauge out I disconected the air bag warning light and then everything went haywire .
But thanks for the help
