Icon5 Unknown Wire From Battery

I was looking over my engine the other night to check the PCV Valve when I noticed a connector was separated. I had to heat the plastic connectors because it was -10C outside to plug them back into eachother, however, I have no idea what the wire is for. The engine was running with no problems before, and now after as well. The wire appears to come out of the back of the battery or the side closer to the tail of the truck. This is on the 3.0L if that makes any difference. Any ideas on what this mysterious connection is?

Could it be the battery blanket (warmer) connection?

Here are some pictures...

The connection is what I am holding onto.

On the second image right in the centre on the side of the battery you can see the wire entering.

And where would it hook up to i don't know if my ranger has the plug for the oem heater. I didnt know when i bought it that it needed a harness i thought it was a standard outlet plug

I don't have an answer for you but you are officially the first person in history to properly search for an answer and post in a thread that makes sense. While additionally not finding a 7 year old thread. You win a brand new mustang, collect from your local Ford Dealer.
