Wiring harness help...

I have a 2001 Ranger XLT with a 4.0 and automatic trans that caught fire due to a valve cover gasket leak. Damage was minor but the engine wiring harness from the ECU to the rest of the egine bay got burnt. I have searched junk yards, Ford dealerships and everywhere else i could think of to no avail. I did however find a few that came off of similar year explorers with the same engine/drivetrain set up and was wondering if they would cross match the one i need for my Ranger. Can i use one from a 2003 Explorer XLT 4.0 A/T in my 2001 Ranger XLT 4.0 A/T ??

Welcome to the forum

That's a good question but I doubt it would work, the connectors wouldn't match for most sensors and injectors

Did you try car-part.com

Good place to look for used parts
They have a selection for "engine wiring harness"
Try just 2001 first , if no hits then add 2002

Harnesses are not expensive to ship, not too bulky or heavy, there must be something out there that would be plug and play
