Yep I'm a newbie and my first post.

I have searched for an answer to this question but have come up kinda confused..

The driver seat is beat in my 2000 ext cab truck and i have a line on a really clean set of 2003 seats..

Hears the question:

Will 60/40 seats from a 2003 ext cab bolt straight in to my 2000 60/40 ext cab??
if not is it possible to swap rails etc..

So I went and looked at theses seats and the mounting holes dimensions at the back are an inch or so wider than mine. Now he thinks they were from a 2003 Ranger Reg cab, can I do anything to make them work ??

Not sure, but reads like you could use a small metal plate on each side.
Bolt the rear seat frame to the metal plate with carriage bolt(nut on the top side)
Then use Ford bolt to fasten metal plate to body

 

Yes that's an option if its only the back width that's off, I never thought to measure front to back etc. when i went to look at them (dummy) also I should have looked to see if the mounting brackets unbolt. (they do on mine)
I was a bit ticked driving 2 hrs each way to find out he thought they were from a EXT cab.. Grrr
I'm sure somebody must have tried to put 2003 reg cab seats in a 2000 ext cab.
