2005 seats to 2004 ranger
you need to further explain cab configurations. if they're both extended cabs, they'll bolt in. if one is a single cab and the other is an extended cab, you'll have to swap the seat rails before bolting them into the truck.
that should answer your question, though.

Thanks, both are extended but 2004 is 60/40 seats while I want to put in 2005 seats. these seats are bucket seats with the center console bolted to the tunnel between the seats. there is no bracket or holes in my 2004 tunnel. Any advice? If I didn't really like my truck, I would drill mounting holes and use self tapping cap screws to mount the ctr console

They'll fit just fine then but thats the only way you'll be able to mount the aluminum bracket to the floor. I'd just go with self tapping screws and then seal it from the underside. There's probably 4 marks on the stamped steel floor of the cab that show where the bracket should mount. For the front of the console, once the bracket is in place, you can use velcro on the front underside to hold it onto the carpet. 2 less holes to put in the floor.
I did this swap on my old truck and my current truck has an explorer full length console.
