94 to newer dash swap

I want to swap my current dash now to a newer model and in tan, is there anything I should know about? would it just be a simple install? my plan is to swap all my interior to tan after its bagged in august.

I am not sure how your factor firewall is shaped but here is a couple pictures of my 98 with the dash removed. Things to note: The 98 has 2 bolts up close to the windshied. 2 bolts above the column (behind the cluster- see white spot in photo) 1 behind the ps airbag 2 by fuse panel(ds) and one by the ps door jam and one on a metal bracket near the gas pedal. Of course the column has to come out to get it out. You will also notice the hole in the ps firewall where the computer slides in from the engine compartment. pretty sure you will have to change the heater box and probablt the wirine harnesses to the newer style in the cab and under the hood. I have never done the swap you are planning , just offering some observations.
