Clothes rod in extended cab?

Have a 2003 XLT that I want to put a single clothes rod in. Only options I have found online is for rods that hook into grab bars, which the Ranger doesn't have. Anyone done something like this? Have photos?

Off the shelf, probably nothing

Is it a 4 door?

I would build a frame that fits behind passenger seat on the floor, then one wood 2x4(?) attached to rear of frame that goes up to rear window top, it can be at an angle, then a forward facing clothes rod so you can hang clothed behind passenger seat, sideways, rod can be made level
Stow "gear" on the frame to hold it steady

A Coat hanger is 17-18" wide
Bucket seat is about 21-24" wide so width is not an issue in the rear behind the seat if cloth are hanging sideways

Running a hanger rod side to side in a Supercab won't have that much "width" between upper seat backs and rear window, so cloths will have to be turned a bit sideways, except between the seats, and that "between the seats" part would irritate me when driving, lol

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your input. Got my wheels turning

It is a an extended cab - so not what I'd call a 4 door - have jump seats.

Yah, I have it kittedd out with a number of storage containers as I spend extended amounts of time in the truck. I hear you on the rod maybe being an issue in the center, but I have a cap on and well, dont use the rear window.

Given the way I have the truck kitted out can only really hang clothes behind the drivers seat. Thought if the bar went all the way across, I could hang a couple of things from it besides clothes. But I need it to hang, not be supported on the floor.
