Dash Removal Question... What am I missing?
Dash Removal Question... What am I missing?
I'm pulling the dash in my '99 Ranger getting it ready to finally cage it and I can't figure out whats still holding this thing in...
I have gotten most everything I can see unbolted, got all the ones across the top, the ones behind the gauge cluster, and all you can see in the photo. I want to get the dash part out with out tacking the AC or other stuff behind it out if it's possible.
Any advice on what I should be looking for from here would be greatly appreciated!
Here is where I'm at now...

Not sure this will help, but these where the steps I went through on my 01 (steps 5 & 10) to pull my dash. Not sure if theres any difference in the 99.

There are 6 13mm bolts (2 by the fuse box, 2 behind the cluster, 1 behind the theft module and one on the ps door jam) and a small bolt down by the gas pedal. You will also need to remove the steering column, unplug the harness for the ps door, and the antenna wire. Under the hood you have to remove the wires that plug into the firewall under the fusebox and release the tabs from the plugs so the dash will come out. When you pull the dash out part way you will see a plug behind the harness that will need unpluged and you will have to disconnect the blend door.
I think that it...looks like fun.
