disconect the Passenger air bag
08 Ranger. i want to disable the passenger air bag so a 7 year old can ride. can i disconnect the seat weight sensor? or put a toggle switch on something?

The 2008 Ranger uses weight sensor to determine if an adult or child is using the passenger seat
You should see "pass airbag off" light when this occurs

Manual deactivating an airbag may do the opposite of what you want, if SRS module sees a problem it may deploy airbag as the "default" setting in an accident, don't know
Buckle up the 7 year old, seat belt needs to be on to do weight test, and see if "pass airbag off" light comes on
