door ajar problem

door ajar problem

my door jam switch has to be bad it always says the door is open but i cant find it where is the switch on a 2000 ranger

mine did the same thing, is the doors on a 99 and a 2000 the same?

i fixed mine and it was a pain. i did it myself. it took a good hour or 2 just becuse its in a werid spot. google a diagram of the door panel. thats how i figured mine out.

ya i looked it up i think if i spray WD 40 in the jams it should stop i found it on another forum....

spray some wd-40 in the door latch and that should take care of it.

did you do both doors. sometimes it takes a lot of wd-40.

ya i did both ill load em up tomorrow when i get back from work.....they are full of mud im gonna spray em out too

man i thought i was the only one with the annoying problem...i cant stand it....so just spray the hell out of them with the wd40??? if that dont work whats the other way to fix it????

don't use WD-40. You need a sylicon lubrication spray. Just spray it in the door jams on both doors a few times each day and just use them regularly it will go away. My truck had it when I got it and did that for a few days and I haven't had it come back on in over 2 years.

hmm i have the same problem since i bought my 2000 like 4 months ago maybe theres a problem with those years? i just ignore mine now haha..
