Ok Guys I want to redo the cloth insert on the door panels on my 2008 ranger. I have the panel off but haven't encountered one like this before. I am guessing that they are heated enough to melt them a little . So I am thinking you will have to drill them out a bit to get them loose? So what do you thing. Thanks JohnB

 

Well Gang I was correct. The plastic backing plate for the upholstery has small tubes molded in it and once upholstered and installed on the door panel they are heated to form like a rolled rivet like seal . I carefully drilled them out and to install I just clamped in place and used a quick setup epoxy and it worked fine. JohnB

 

Yep, glad you get it figured out. I went through it on mine when. I redid the stained fabric with some imitation gator skin.
